CUSTOM BUTTON BADGES
A flat sheet, wrapped on a curve.
Every button badge starts as a printed rectangle and ends as a curved disc of tinplate. Nothing in between is moulded, filled, or fired — which is why the minimum is 100 pieces rather than 500, and why a run can be on a table in under a week.
- MOQ 100 pcs per design
- Proof within 48 hours
- Up to 16 designs per sheet

I · SPECIFICATIONS
Lead time comes first.
Nobody buys button badges for their finish. They buy them because a date is approaching — so speed is the first line in the specification, not a footnote.

II · PRINT & ARTWORK
Prove the print. Then send the art.
A badge lives or dies on two things: how the artwork prints at 25 mm, and whether your file survives the wrap. First the evidence, then the checklist.
Fine type · 25 mm
Colour · press check
Wear · epoxy domeWhat to send us.
You supply a flat rectangle; the customer receives a curved disc. The gap between the two is where almost all artwork problems come from — and none of them are visible in a flat preview.
- Trim — the insert is cut to the circle
- 2 mm safe area — keep type inside it
- 3 mm bleed — consumed by the rolled rim
- 01
Send vector if you have it
AI, EPS or PDF at final size. Bitmap artwork works from 300 dpi up — below that, we check before anything prints.
- 02
Keep type 2 mm inside the trim
The rim bends the last two millimetres of the face away from the viewer. Anything closer warps during pressing.
- 03
Add 3 mm of bleed
The insert is cut oversize and the shell rolls over its edge. That roll consumes roughly 3 mm all round — invisibly, once you know it is there.
- 04
Keep fine lines above 0.3 mm
Hairlines below that fill in during printing. There is no colour limit — line weight is the real constraint.
- 05
Not sure? Send it anyway
Artwork is checked on Day 0, before the run starts. A problem caught at proof costs nothing; after printing it costs the whole sheet.
III · APPLICATIONS
Programs with a date attached.
Button badges are bought for moments with a deadline — a campaign, a fair, a gig, a launch. The right column is the honest one: how much runway each kind of program actually needs.
- 01
Campaigns & Awareness
Charity drives and awareness days where the date is fixed and the badges have to exist before it.
- 02
Music & Fan Culture
Band merch and gig giveaways that have to be on the table before doors open.
- 03
Political & Membership
Election merchandise and membership drives — the deadline is set by the calendar, not by us.
- 04
Schools & Student Clubs
Societies, sports days and end-of-term keepsakes, usually ordered weeks ahead.
- 05
Brands & Creators
Drop merchandise and micro-collections where the launch date was announced before production started.
- 06
Events & Conventions
Convention giveaways, staff identification and press kits that have to be there on setup day.
IV · PRODUCTION & QUALITY
Six stages, six days.
No mould to cut and no enamel to cure. Every stage is short enough to see on a calendar — which is why a date can be promised with confidence.

V · FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Send the artwork and the date. We will confirm whether the timeline fits before you approve anything.
What is the minimum order quantity?
100 pieces per design. Because the press runs several designs on one sheet, mixed designs share a single production run — each one still keeps its own 100-piece minimum.
How many designs can share one sheet?
Up to 16, with 12 being the usual comfortable maximum for clean assembly. There is no per-design tooling, so adding a design does not add a setup cost — it only takes up space on the sheet.
How fast can a badge order ship?
Proofs are normally ready within 48 hours. After approval, bulk production takes 5–7 working days. Stock diameters schedule faster than square, oval or custom shapes, which need a separate cut.
Is there a colour limit?
No. Badges are printed, not enamel-filled, so gradients, photographs and small type all reproduce. The practical limit is line weight rather than colour count: keep fine lines above roughly 0.3 mm.
How close to the edge can the artwork go?
Keep all type and important detail at least 2 mm inside the trim. The cover wraps around the shell rim, so anything closer gets pulled out of shape when the badge is pressed. Supply 3 mm bleed beyond the trim.
What backing options are there?
Safety pin is standard. Magnetic backs suit fabric that cannot be pierced, while keyring and lanyard fittings turn a badge into merch or identification for events.
